Camo Trend

Camo is in this fall!  I've seen it all over Pinterest and in stores.  This morning I was reading Pinterest Told Me To, and surprisingly, fell in love with the camo pants Sheaffer was posting about.

My tennis plans fell through this morning and I already had a sitter, so I used that time to head over to GAP.  Unfortunately, they did not have my size in the green camo.  However, I scored the pink pair! And they were on sale!

I tried it on with the Dolman henly top.  I loved the pants! I'm not sure how I feel about the shirt.  It's on sale, so I am considering going back to get it? Thoughts?  I'm thinking Navy, Gray, White and even the camo green would look good with these!

I also walked away with this pair of leopard skinny jeans.
This is not a great picture, but they are really cute!  Luckily, both pairs of pants were half off!

Currently, my fall wardrobe is stocked on pants, but lacking in tops.  Hopefully I will be able to find some deals on cute tops.

Two going on 13

Be positive, be positive, be positive.....

Today was  rough day.  Max has been acting out for the past couple of weeks.  He has hit me and Claire, thrown toys, hit and kick a door (when I wouldn't let him in) and thrown a lot of tantrums.  It's hard.  Being a mom is not easy!

Neither one of them have a special toy they love, so today, after I had had enough, I took away tv time, music and my phone.  Max refused his nap and Claire fell asleep after an hour of going back and forth.

Another twin mom suggested putting a gate up at their door so they couldn't get out of their room during naps and bed time.  They dislike it very much.  So much that they decided to turn nap into play time and throw all of their clothes out of the hamper into the hall.  This was the point I took away privileges.  I didn't think I would be telling my two year olds, "no tv, no music or no phone" - isn't that for the teenage years?!

Big Changes!

Today was the day.  The cribs came down and they will each have their own room.  It's all kinda bittersweet.  I think I'm the most nervous about them not sharing a room!  I'll be interested to see how they handle that as well!

We worked on our rooms from 10am - 7pm.  We are exhausted! (On top of being woken up around 3.4.and 5!)  We still have a ways to go.  Max is waiting on a mattress and Claire is waiting on her new bed, dresser and night stands.  I'm hoping we will have all that by this weekend!  We also need to paint both rooms.....and by we, I mean have someone come do it!

So, as of now, they are both sleeping on the "big bed" until other pieces have arrived.

Wish us luck!

A first

Well, we made it home from NJ.  It was not one of our best car rides and took 12 hours instead of 9.5.
Our trip was awesome, as usual.  I absolutely love Long Beach Island.
We did our third annual Fredrick/Darcy family photo shoot and for the first time, we have a great family picture!  Everyone is smiling and looking at the camera!

All Smiles!!

Best in-laws in the world!
still got it!

Already looking forward to next year at LBI!

Coming at you from the Jersey Shore

Hi! It's been a while.

We are at our favorite place -- Long Beach Island, NJ. It is so, so beautiful here. The kids have been great, spending their time building castles and riding the waves! AND even slept in until 6:30!!

Today we saw a house foundation being ripped down along with the house that floated away during hurricane Sandy. It's crazy seeing the damage months later.
