Razz and Tazz

This past Monday a group of us took our kiddos to Razz and Tazz farm.  We went on a hayride, played in a corn pit, climbed on tractors and much more! It was a beautiful day that made beautiful pictures!

We attempted to get a group picture of the kids, but some had left and the others were tired.  Taking a picture was the last thing they wanted to do.
I've said it before and will say again and again...Max and Claire have the BEST friends anyone could ask for!!

Halloween Playgroup

Friday, one of our playgroup mom's had a halloween lunch/play date.  She really outdid her self with food and decorations!
My favorite was the mummy hot dogs! and the yummy cupcakes!
There was also a station for decorating pumpkins!

The kids were so cute all dressed up.  Max and Claire wore their dress up clothes...saving our costumes for Halloween.  Max was Batman and Claire was Minnie Mouse.  Max's costume was a bit to small, but what he wanted to wear!
he spent most of his time on this and the trampoline!
Decorating
Not an easy picture to capture... and missing a few!
Max's "best", Captain America!
Looking forward to more Halloween festivities!  I think we are going to skip out on trick-or-treating for one more year.  Having a get together with other families is just as fun :)

Percentages

I get so many comments about how tall Max is.  I have been waiting and waiting to go to the Dr. to see his percentages and estimated height as an adult.
We had flu shots scheduled for today.  Our pediatrician is pregnant and will be on maternity leave for our three year well visit, so today she did their height and weight percentages!!

Max
39 lbs  98%
40 1/4 in  99%

Buds is a big boy!!  Based on his growth chart, he could be b/t 6'4-6'6!! Holy Moly!  Time to start playing ball!

Claire
33 lbs  83%
36 3/4 in  56%

Based on her growth chart, she will probably be 5'5-5'6.  I think that's the perfect height!
She has gone up in weight percentages and down in height!  Dr. was happy with both of them so that's good!

We had a busy day today.  After the dr. appt., we went to the library, Children's museum, try on shoes and got lunch to go!  The Children's Museum was dead, we practically had the place to ourselves!

Sugar Coma

Yesterday I turned the big 32!  My friends and family have spoiled me.  I have had so much sugar in the past three days: cookies, doughnuts, cake, cupcakes... All my faves :) and I'm definitely feeling all of it.

Mom's poundcake is the best!
Last night Mom and Dad kept the kiddos so we could go out with friends.  We went to my favorite restaurant with my favorite people!  Good food, wine, laughs and best buds-what more could one ask for?! Oh, and I slept until 8:30!! Can't remember the last time that has happened!!

Today was the Junior League of Greensboro's annual Touch a Truck.  Besides the drizzle, it was the best yet.  They put so many hours into this event.  Dora, Bob the Builder and Doc McStuffins were a huge hit.

Family

Justin just returned from Vegas late last night.  He had been gone since Wednesday and those four days were some of the hardest days the kiddos and I have had.  I'm not sure what has gotten into them.  We had three days with no naps, lots of hitting, time out, crying, late nights and a mentally exhausted mom. Thankfully, my mom spent most of Friday with us!  Saturday, after trying for an hour to get them to nap (after waking at 5:30 and 6), I gave up.  I decided to take them to the library.  What the HELL was I thinking.... two two year olds that hadn't napped.  They were pulling books off the shelves left and right, running down the isles, jumping off an ottoman and not obeying.  We kept getting the side eye from one of the librarians.  Fortunately/unfortunately, I ran into a friend.  Her kids were reading and silently playing on the computer.  As I was about to breakdown, I asked her if she minded helping me take them to the door.  My hands were full of books, so I only had one available.  I have never been more embarrassed.  I sat in the car and cried.

Spent a lot of time in the time out chair
So..... today we had a much needed family day.  Usually on the weekends, we are rushing around, trying to get errands done or cleaning house.  Today was all about the kids.  It was awesome.  We spent a lot of time at the park.  I left my phone in the car so I could be 100% focused on them.  We let them walk instead of ride in stroller, threw rocks in the pond, looked at leaves, ran together, held hands and laughed.  It was wonderful! Constant smiles on all of our faces!  Sadly, I don't have any pics bc we both left phones in car.

Today I took a breath.  I know this is just a stage.  I love my babies so much!

The Big Guy

That's what we call Max Man.  The big guy got on the scale today (with clothes on) and weighed 40 pounds!  Really looking forward to finding out their percentiles at the next doctor visit.

Love this smile :)
With one of his bffs, Jack!
Speaking of big.... the other night we went out to dinner with friends, and for the first time, the kids had their own table!  They were all pretty good.  It also helped that we were outside ;)

update on Ok To Wake:  seems to be working!  For the most part, they have slept until the light turned green.  The only slight problem (for us) is Max saw it turn green while rolling over.  He immediately got up bc it was green.  I know he could have slept longer.  He doesn't grasp that you can keep sleeping even though the light is on!  Today they both slept until 7:15!  That's a heck a lot better than 5:30 :)
