Bachelorette Fun!

Last weekend I went to Charleston, SC for one of my best friend's bachelorette party.  We have been friends since we were two, and have remained great friends.  She was my Maid of Honor.   We had a great weekend.  Friday night we stayed in and had pizza.  Saturday was brunch, lingerie shower, scavenger hunt and dinner and dancing!

The scavenger hunt was professionally done by On Purpose Adventures.  Our clues were all over downtown Charleston.  We had three teams and all ended up on a roof top bar at the end.  Besides a few foot blisters, it was awesome!

Ready for our night out!

Snow days

Last week we got a lot of snow!  I'm guessing 7-10 inches.  Thursday, Justin stayed home from work and we took the kids sledding and to a friends house to play and do more sledding.  It was so much fun.....even the moms got a turn to go down the hill a few times!

Fun sledding!

Absolutely loved the snow!

It was fun for ONE day.  We are all over it and ready to welcome spring!  It is supposed to be mid 60s this week so hopefully the warmer weather is here to stay!

Picture Perfect

Ok, definitely not perfect, but much better!  A few weeks ago I took a photography class.  I've had my DSLR for three years and have not shot in manual unless someone else set it up for me.  While I still have a lot to learn, I am making progress!

These are a few shots from the other day.

One of my favorites... shows her personality so well!

LOVE!
We are having a snowpocalypse here in North Carolina.  I think we have 6+ inches with more to come.  Took some cute pics today, surely I will have time to post tomorrow since we will be stuck at the house!

February Pinspired: Mint pants

I'm really liking hoping on the Pinspired bandwagon.  It's forcing me to try things in my closet that I haven't been wearing!  Today I tried on some mint corduroys from Old Navy.   I don't think they have this color this year... got them last year.

These are the outfits that inspired me to make my own look.
via: here, here and here
Mint cords and navy and white stripe shirt
Shirt: Gap    It's cute, but way too big.  This is a Medium

Mint cords and chambray shirt.  Leopard belt, but you can't really see it
Chambray shirt: Old Navy last year
Necklace:  Groupdealz - super cheap!

mint cords and grey stripped cardigan
Sweater:  Gap: final sale! I have the navy one as well!
Tank: Gap: final sale! Got it for $2

mint cords and khaki sweater
Sweater: Stein Mart years ago.  The scarf came with the sweater.
This was my favorite of the outfits... they would all look better if they were ironed!
Every since being a SAHM, I rarely iron anything!

Party, like it's your Birthday!

A few weeks ago, Max and Claire had their third birthday party.  We rented out the clubhouse to the pool where we are members.  It was a nice open space where the kids could run around, play with balls, balloons and eat cake!

We hired a balloon artist (was supposed to do face painting, but that never happened).  M and C love balloons, especially when someone has twisted them into a sword or bracelet!

We didn't have one theme, but let them each choose something they liked.. Max chose Mike, from Monster's University and Claire chose Hello Kitty.

Birthday girl and boy!

I still have a hard time saying they are "3".  They are so much fun (and work) and they have become quite the comideans!

36 Months

Today is Max and Claire's third birthday!  I'm having a hard time believing it has been three years, 36 months makes three sound younger ;).  It feels like yesterday we were struggling with infertility - and now we have two beautiful and healthy three year olds!

They are little people now.  With LOTS of personality.

Last night I had them take a picture in their green rocker in their bedroom.  That is where I did all their monthly pictures.  It's amazing how much they have grown!

Last night as a two year old :(

We had a fun filled day, today.  We went to starbucks (they get a vanilla steamed milk), Max got a hair cut in a police car, saw their first movie in a theater (Frozen), and went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner!

Hopefully tomorrow I can put up individual post :)

Happy Birthday to my favorite three year olds!!
