My first Stitch Fix!

Last week I received my first stitch fix box! Over the last year I have seen a few people post on facebook about stitch fix, but I never really looked into it until now.  And I am so glad I did!

You start by filling out a style profile.  They ask basic questions (height, weight, etc) then ask how you like clothes to fit, what you like to accentuate, colors to avoid...etc.  A little piece of advice I got from reading other blogs, is to make sure you have an updated Pinterest board so your stylist can see what your style is.  Oh, you can also tell where you want to keep your price range.

There is a $20 styling fee, but if you keep at least one item, that $20 will go towards your purchase. If you keep all five pieces that are sent, you get 25% off your total.  You can get all kinds of clothes and accessories.  I opted against shoes, jewelry and handbags.

I was ecstatic when my first box got here!

I could tell I was going to like some of the pieces as soon as I opened the box!
This card came with the clothes ~ A personal note from my stylist and two photos of each item showing different ways to wear. I think my stylist hit spot on!  Two of the shirts were not ones I would have picked out in the store, but glad I tried on because I loved them!

My full length mirror is so old and disgusting, so I got my 4.5 yr old to take my pictures :)  I also did not take the time to style the outfits... i only have on the items that were in the box.  I look forward to piecing them with items already in my closet.

1. Dali Open Drape Cardigan $78
I love the colors and the fit!
 2. Rosa Tab Sleeve V-Neck blouse $58
Not a great picture, but this is a loose fitting blouse.
 3. Baya Lace Inset Pullover Sweater $68
really like the detail on the neckline

excuse the cheese face. It is navy so really hard to see how it really looks
 4. Anise Striped Vest $78
This was one of my favorites! I love navy and white stripes
5. Liverpool: Lianah Bootcut Jeans. $78
These are the jeans I am wearing in the pictures.  They fit perfect!  They are super soft and I haven't worn bootcut in a few years! The stylist said to wear them with low heel boots.

I put the prices next to each item because i really liked seeing them when I read reviews!  I did not realize there was a cheaper option when I scheduled my first box.  I have since gone back and asked for some pieces to be less than $50! (that option is called "the cheaper, the better") All of mine were in the $50-$100 range.  Normally I would not spend this much on five items, but it did average out to $50 a piece after my 25% off :)

The beauty of stitch fix is you don't have to sign up for a monthly subscription! You can order one box or sign up for monthly, every few months, or just whenever you feel like it!  I was going to wait a few months, until I realized I didn't have many church outfits and Kate is getting baptized next month so I figured I needed to order another box! It will be here November 18th!

Last weekend my aunts and cousins came in town.  My cousin has a seven month old that is as cute as can be! We took the kids to a local church "pumpkin patch".  Love how the pics turned out!

Kate ~ 5 months!

I have had this post ready to go since Oct. 4th.  For some reason I can't figure out how to get my pics from my phone to automatically transfer to computer.  Sometimes it does, other times it takes days?

Miss Kate is five months!  She is still the sweetest baby and we love every second with her!

She is really a happy baby and still only cries when she is hungry or tired.  She is exclusively breast fed ~ this is a huge accomplishment for me.  I pumped for 10 months with Max and Claire and had to supplement the whole time.  I love every minute of nursing Kate.  I love our time together.  It really is the sweetest bond. She is a very quick eater.  She usually on nurses for seven minutes tops.  She can go around four hours during the day, but has still been waking at night almost every three hours.  I know she can go longer, but I really don't mind bc she is so quick and goes right back to sleep.

This little piggy loves bath time!
I wasn't planning on starting solids for another month, but this weekend, her older cousin was here and she seemed interested in her food.  I bought some oatmeal to try.  She has had it once and seemed to like it.

When she is not running around doing things with Max and Claire, she likes to take three naps a day. Usually lasting 1hr-2.5hrs.
She is not a fan of being in her car seat.
She loves her new exersaucer!
Can't believe our little peanut is almost six months old.  Time needs to slow down!

Tooth fairy!

Max has had a new tooth coming in behind his bottom baby tooth for about a month.  Last week it finally came out!  Late afternoon Friday, he realized it was gone! We are not sure when it came out or if he swallowed it!  I hate that I don't have his first tooth.  But he still wrote a note to the tooth fairy and left it under his pillow :)

Can't believe my buddy already lost a tooth!! Such the big guy!
