Kate ~ TWO year old edition!

I can't believe I am writing this post on my BABY turning TWO!  This last year flew by.  She has been the most perfect child until she hit about 20 months.  Then she started having an opinion and meltdowns started!  She still is my perfect baby, BUT with an attitude!

She adores Max and Claire and is their little sidekick.  She wants to do whatever they are doing.  She got a bike for her birthday and wants to ride with them whenever they go out.  She also wants to "hoop" (hula hoop) with them. It's so cute how much she looks up to them.  I have to constantly remind them that she is always watching and they need to set a good example.  Claire and a neighbor have taught her "na na na na na" complete with hand motion at face.  It's hilarious but so NOT cool.

Kate is stilly a little punkers.  We go to the dr. for her two year well visit tomorrow.  I think she is around 22 lbs (Claire was 28 lbs and Max was 33 lbs!).  She still wears a lot of her 12-18 month clothes and her summer bathing suit is an 18 month!  She has the most perfect and kissable cheeks :) She loves to give hugs at night, especially if that means stalling at bed time!

She goes to a Mother's Morning Out on Monday and Wednesday (9:15-12:15) and loves her little friends.  She hangs with me the rest of the time.  She has been difficult to do any shopping with. She likes to walk everywhere and refuses to be in the cart :/.  She loves playing outside and in the playroom. She actually plays with toys, unlike Max and Claire at that age.  She LOVES Barney! lol and loves to dance.  She has the cutest little peg leg dance where she moves in a circle.  She also does a "grandma" walk. I'm not sure how that came about but she hunches over and moves her arms funny!

Kate loves to eat! She even has her own hashtag on instagram... #katesfooddrama and #cerealbartears lol.  She does not like for anyone to touch her food, even if you are just helping with the wrapper! Her favorites are: any type of bar, yogurt, cheese, broccoli, cantaloupe, pasta, and chicken.  Oh, and cereal!

She loved her birthday even though we didn't have a party.  She kept saying, "happy to you" when she would see her cake or balloons.

We really couldn't be more blessed with our three children.  There are not enough words for how much we love them!

Spring Break and Easter

So, I've slacked off so much on blogging.  We have been super busy.... hello... bought a house and trying to move with three kids! I think one of the reasons I haven't been posting is bc my icloud is messed up and I can't get any of my pictures to load unless it's from the big camera.

We were so excited for spring break.  Justin actually took the week off work and we all went to the beach.  His parents built a beach house last year and we look forward to any time we get to spend there!

We really lucked out with the weather.  It was mostly sunny and was between 72-77 all week.  Perfection!  The water was freezing but it didn't stop them from playing in the ocean or the pool!

We came home Friday night so we could get back in time for the Easter egg hunt at MacGregor.  The kids really look forward to that and I couldn't resist a picture with the Easter Bunny :)

Went as well as our Santa picture!

And, of course, the Easter Bunny came Sunday morning!  Sadly, we haven't found a church in our new city.  That is one of my priorities when we move.  I miss our church in Greensboro and I think the kids (and us) really need to be going every week.

I try not to buy a lot of candy.  The bigs got a mini chocolate bunny, skittles, and m&ms.  They have already forgotten about bunny and m&ms.  Kate got a peep, but hasn't had.  She did, however, find a reeses cup and ate it whole.  She loved it (me too, kid!) and was on the search for more.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Claire and Justin went to their second Daddy Daughter dance back in February.  Once again, they had so much fun.  Claire looked so beautiful.  We decided to get comfy shoes for dancing this year instead of being all fancy.  She got a lot of compliments!

Thankfully my sister in law was in town and was able to help with hair! She is much more creative than I will ever be :)
Justin looked handsome as well!

Her favorite part of the night was taking silly pictures in the photo booth and the ice cream sundaes!

My in-laws were in town so we let Max pick where he wanted to go for dinner.. and just like last year, he chose Chick -Fil -A!

Sixth birthday party!

This year we celebrated Max and Claire's sixth birthday party at Lifetime Fitness.  They had a few of their classmates and three friends from Greensboro come up.  I think this has been their best birthday party yet! Lifetime took care of every detail and all the kids behaved! Win/win for me!

We were in the gym and the kids had a bounce house, rock wall, balls and these wheelie things.  They had planned on organized games, but the kids were having so much fun doing everything else, we skipped them!

Six year old, Claire!

The big guy, Max!

Punky watching the climbers!

Can't believe my babies are six! Crazy how the days are so hard and long, but the years are way too fast.

Claire is like me.... I get embarrassed when people sing "Happy Birthday"

Max and Claire ~ Six year old edition!

Whoever said the days are long but the years are short was spot on.  There are so many days I feel will never end, then I blink, and it's been a week, month, year, and my babies are now half way through Kindergarten.
Kate loves cuddling with Max!

Max, oh the buds!  He is our big guy!  He has a heart of gold, is sensitive, loves to play outside, especially riding his bike, short tempered, loves ipad/tv time and is doing good in Kindergarten.  I split Max and Claire up for Kindergarten.  I think Max has flourished.  He has found his voice and his own friends.  He seems to like math more than reading/writing (me too!).  We work on sight words and reading every day and he is getting much better.  I think we need to work on confidence.  He is often correct, but doesn't say out loud for fear of getting wrong.
He starts basketball tomorrow! We are so excited! He took a six week (once a week) golf lesson at school and loved that and has been to two BMX riding classes!

Max's six year old stats:
Height: 51.25" (off the chart by an inch!)
Weight: 60 lbs 95%
In clothes he wears a seven and I believe size 3 shoe!
He has lost SIX teeth!

My mini me!
Claire Bear, our little diva and mini me! This girl has personality!  She is the energizer bunny - goes, goes, goes.  She is a great big sister, LOVES art, people pleaser, loves to sing and dance, loves school.  Claire seems to like reading/writing better than math.  She has good handwriting and rocks her sight words! She can read most BOB books and we are working on level one books.  Since she is my mini me, we often but heads :)
Claire has been enjoying a hip hop class and has expressed interest in swim lessons.

Claire's six year stats:
Height: 47.75"  88% (big growth spurt!)
Weight: 50.2 lbs 76%
She mostly wears size small or a 6/7 and a size 1 shoe.
She has lost two teeth

We are having a small birthday party next weekend at our gym with rock wall climbing and relays/games.  Max asked for a transformer for his bday (got it!) and Claire wants her ears pierced! We have an appt on Feb. 7th!

I need to come back to add in their questionnaire like last year.
