So today we had an appointment. The first part went great. Both babies had strong heart beats (150, 151), baby girl measuring 1lb 9oz, baby boy weighing in at 1lb 12 oz. Then she had to look at my cervix, only to find it was shortening. The u/s lady made it sound like I would be on limited activity at the most - WRONG. Next up was the visit with my dr. She also checked my cervix and decided I was on full bed rest. Today was my last day of work. I started crying immediately and freaking out about the babies health, my health, insurance, paychecks, etc. We go for a test tomorrow that helps determine if I'll go into labor in the next two weeks. That is VERY scary to me. The good news is we are past 24 weeks so they are viable.
I"ll be praying and hoping for the best :)
Tomorrow will be especially hard. I will be saying goodbye to my buddy. I had planned on taking him on a walk and having lots of snuggle time. Trying to stay as positive as I can - don't need added stress.
Kelly, I am so sorry to hear that! Definitely keep up your positive attitude ... it will help you and the babies so much. We will be praying and thinking about you.
ReplyDeleteWe're also so sad to hear about Coltrane. I know that is so hard for you & J. We'll be thinking about you tomorrow.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you ... bring you lunch, magazines, books, etc. Hang in there, sweetie!
Aww Kelly!! So sorry you're on bedrest- that stinks, but it'll be worth your healthy smiling babies. :) If you get bored and need company or something to entertain yourself with let me know!
ReplyDeleteSorry about Coltrane. What a rough week. :(
hey girl...came over via susan.
ReplyDeletei was put on bedrest at 26w6d due to preeclampsia so i know those scary feelings you have...and then to think about insurance/pay checks/short-term disability, etc.--well, i know all those too!
