Book vs Movie

Yesterday, Mom and I went to see The Hunger Games.  I have to say I was a little disappointed... but isn't that how it usually is? Book way better than the movie?  Going in I was really excited bc I heard it was very close to the book, but I think they left out or changed a few important details.  In saying this, I do hope they come out with the rest of the movies.
I am just a few chapters in on the third book.  I"ll be sad when it's over.  Good thing I have a stack of books waiting to be read!

Last night we had dinner at Mom and Dad's house.  They were having a dinner for my Dad's best friend who has leukemia.  He is out of the hospital for a few weeks so they had him over for a nice dinner.  We had a great time visiting with him and a few other of their friends.  Max especially loved the hat my dad gave Billy!

    omg that is the cutest picture ever!!! I was disappointed in how they portrayed the relationship between her and Peeta....

    I poured through all three books after waiting years to get into them - and have yet to see the movie. I am making my sister finish the third book before we go see the movie, hoping I won't be too disappointed!
