Well, this past Monday, we started a challenge with another couple! A healthy competition that will last six weeks. Which ever couple loses the largest percentage wins! Losers buy dinner out.
We downloaded My Fitness Pal and have been logging all our nutrition. So far it's been going great! It's amazing how hard it is to eat all your calories when you eat clean! One cool thing about My Fitness Pal, is it breaks down what you are eating: Carbs, Protein and Fat. I was surprised to see that I am eating mostly carbs and fat (good fat).
For ex. today:
Breakfast
2 eggs, 1 egg white
1/2 banana
workout
Protein shake made with almond milk
Lunch
1 piece of Eziekel bread with 1 tbs of natural pb and a tiny bit of honey
2 tbs guacamole
1/2 serving of Gluten free crackers
Fuji Apple
Dinner
Grass fed burger with 2 tbs shredded cheese
romaine lettuce, cucumber and 1 tbs of balsamic dressing
2 glasses of wine ;-) (I was trying to wait til the weekend but it was so nice grilling out!)
snack: 1/4 cup cinnamon trail mix from Whole Foods
I didn't do so well with veggies today :( {yesterday I had a ton of broccoli, Kale and Carrots, so I am eating veggies too}
When I'm not pregnant we always do MFP. It's the BEST! Good luck with this new challenge!!
