February Pinspired: Mint pants

I'm really liking hoping on the Pinspired bandwagon.  It's forcing me to try things in my closet that I haven't been wearing!  Today I tried on some mint corduroys from Old Navy.   I don't think they have this color this year... got them last year.

This was my favorite of the outfits... they would all look better if they were ironed!

Every since being a SAHM, I rarely iron anything!

Party, like it's your Birthday!

A few weeks ago, Max and Claire had their third birthday party.  We rented out the clubhouse to the pool where we are members.  It was a nice open space where the kids could run around, play with balls, balloons and eat cake!

We hired a balloon artist (was supposed to do face painting, but that never happened).  M and C love balloons, especially when someone has twisted them into a sword or bracelet!

We didn't have one theme, but let them each choose something they liked.. Max chose Mike, from Monster's University and Claire chose Hello Kitty.

I still have a hard time saying they are "3".  They are so much fun (and work) and they have become quite the comideans!

36 Months

Today is Max and Claire's third birthday!  I'm having a hard time believing it has been three years, 36 months makes three sound younger ;).  It feels like yesterday we were struggling with infertility - and now we have two beautiful and healthy three year olds!

They are little people now.  With LOTS of personality.

Last night I had them take a picture in their green rocker in their bedroom.  That is where I did all their monthly pictures.  It's amazing how much they have grown!

We had a fun filled day, today.  We went to starbucks (they get a vanilla steamed milk), Max got a hair cut in a police car, saw their first movie in a theater (Frozen), and went to Chick-Fil-A for dinner!

We'll See

I've been meaning to document this for a while.  "We'll see" is what Max and Claire say about everything.  It's hilarious and makes me laugh every time.
Kids: "I wonder if Daddy is home"
Me: 'no, he is at work'
Kids: "we'll see"

Kids:  "I wonder if Carrie be there" - she is the kid care attendant and also our babysitter
Me:  'I think she works tonight'
Kids: "we'll see"

They probably say it at least 10 times a day.

Also, yesterday I was wearing a sparkle cardigan from Gap and Max kept referring to the sparkle as "sprinkles"  haha.. He is so cute!

Today is a busy day as we get ready for their third birthday party!!  Where have the years gone?!

Go away sick!

This has been our motto all week.  Claire chants, "go away sick, and don't come back" every time there is a sniffle, cough, sneeze, etc...  All this sickness began with Claire last Sunday night/Max Monday night.  They have had temps over 101 every day.

They were pitiful.  Not to mention it was either frigid temps or rain all week.  We were up multiple times every night with higher temps.  Two sick kids = one tired Mom!

Thankfully, today has been temperature free!  I think we finally broke the streak.  They slept in until 9:30 - which is unheard of around here! and even took a nap later in the day.

Hoping Justin and I don't get it as bad as they did.  I felt the worst today.  No time to be sick.  Their third birthday party is next Saturday and I have lots to do to get ready!!

I got this great pair of pants for Christmas (on big sale now).  When I was looking for inspiration, I was thinking they were mustard... well they are not.  Anthropologie calls them dark orange. Anywho...
