Bottomless pit!

Not to much to say except today I have been a bottomless pit!  Kind of like the energizer bunny... I keep eating and eating and eating!  Guess we are hitting another growth spurt?

Had a nice dinner tonight with my group of provisional Junior League ladies.  took a nice picture but camera is dead so I can't upload.  We went to the Lindley Park Filling Station - YUM! I love me some tater tots!!

Susie Homemaker

Well, not really but pretty darn close! I have cooked three nights in a row! AND cleaned!!  Big steps being made here!!
Tonight I had to enjoy dinner by myself.  For some reason....Justin thought I wasn't going to be home tonight and since I did not answer the first time he called me, he picked up Taco Bell.  I was not happy.  I was on my way home from a walk in the park and when I got home, he was finishing taco hell.  I pouted and showed my disappointment then made baked spaghetti for myself.
It was pretty tasty if I do say so myself....literally myself.
There will be plenty of leftovers for lunch and dinner tomorrow.
with some added spinach :)

Oh, I should also mention babies were spoiled again today!  My Aunt Catherine sent me an email asking if we had received a package. Wait. What. a Package!! For us?!  I had to take a lunch break to rush home to see what was sent.
Their first Ralph Lauren outfits!  Oh.my.word. they are the softest outfits I have ever laid my hands on! with matching hats and shoes!!

Hooked up!

Hooked up could be my word(s) of the day!  This morning, one of our Asst. Principals came to my office with a bag full of baby girl clothes!!  There must be over 10 outfits with tags still on them!  Her little girl was never able to wear them so she passed them to our baby girl!
How sweet was this?!  The sizes range from 3-9 months
Poor Baby Boy only has like 3 outfits!!

This morning I loaded up the crockpot with a recipe I have been wanting to try.  I think it is called Crockpot sour cream and salsa chicken?
4 chk breast (I used 2)
8 oz salsa
1 packet of taco seasoning
1/4 c light sour cream
2 tbs corn starch mixed with water

Place chk in crock pot and cover with seasoning and salsa.  Cook all day and when ready to serve mix corn starch and water with sour cream and put in with salsa.  Serve with Rice!
It did not disappoint!
Yum-O
Even better with a side of green beans!

20 weeks

Pregnancy Highlights

How far along?  20 weeks.. 5 Months!! Sounds so much further!
Total Weight gain?  10 lbs
Maternity Clothes? A must :)
Gender? Boy and Girl
Movement?  I'm thinking yes!
Cravings? No.. but I thought I would try a cheeseburger this weekend and OMG Belch! I felt miserable.  I haven't had one in almost a month.  I think I'm done with red meat for a long time.  Not sure what it is, but something about it makes me feel yuck
What I miss?  sleeping on my stomach
Sleep?  It's ok.  I usually sleep good half the night
Best moment this week?  Registering :)
Symptoms?  Feeling pretty good.  My stomach has been itching at times... trying to lube it up so I don't get any unwanted marks...although, I'm sure they'll make an appearance :(
What I look forward to?  making up my mind on bedding - HELP!

Showers and registering

Saturday, my friend Lindsay had her baby shower.  We were super excited to go because she had her baby boy early and we got to meet him!  He was definitely spoiled with all those people around :)

Afterward Mom and I went to Babies R Us to register.  After two hours I had a registry!  I have to say it was a bit overwhelming....all the different bottles, passies, diapers...etc....  By the end I was just clicking things.  We still haven't decided on bedding. HELP!!
We couldn't leave without buying some cute clothes :)
I have to admit Baby Girl got three outfits and Baby Boy just got one!  Don't know how that happened!
Only the green ones kind of match... Couldn't resist the ones with the cute feet :)

This morning I dragged Justin to Target to register for more! He was very helpful and patient :)
I think we have narrowed names down!!
Boys:  Cam or Max
Girls:  Chloe or Claire

I think Cam and Chloe sound so cute together!!

Big day!

I have been a terrible blogger.  Just a few things to catch up!
1.  I cooked a lot this week!! Even tried some new recipes that I love....I'll have to share later :)
2.  I am expanding every day!
3.  Proud that I went on some great walks this week.
4.  Excited that it is finally going to cool down and feel like fall
5.  My friend Lindsay had her baby and I get to meet him at her baby shower today!
6.  After the shower Mom and I are going to Babies R Us to register.  Justin has been doing the research and wrote down things he wants our babies to have!
7.  Going to get a much needed manicure!
8.  Woke up at 6:15 and already doing laundry
9.  Going to our friends house tonight to watch the UGA game....hoping we will actually have a win!

Let's pray for a peaceful, fun time while registering.  As much as I love mom's opinions, I don't think she likes when I don't agree :)
Still having trouble on bedding...which wouldn't be such a problem, but I can't pick out cribs, rocker or paint color until I have them picked out!

Shopping for babies!

Who doesn't love shopping for Baby clothes?
This weekend I bought Baby Girl and Baby Boy their first outfits!  I wanted to buy something in every store we went in, but I was told by my MIL that we were shopping for me :)
Couldn't resist when I saw these cute outfits
AND
Baby Girl needed a bow :)
I absolutely adore babies with these head bands with flowers/bows clipped to them.  This is actually a pack of three bands (brown, black and white) to wear with the green daisy.  The other outfits they have been given have green in them, so I thought this would be perfect and go with most outfits.  I ordered this from Etsy the day we found out their sex :) Yay for bows!! There will be many more of those!

What I look forward to?  Agreeing on names :)

Definitely getting bigger :)

We had a great weekend with my in-laws!  Justin's mom and I went shopping most of the day on Saturday.  She said the day was about me and we went to all the maternity places I could think of!  I racked up!
Skinny jeans, sweater, 5 shirts and 2 children books!!  Couldn't thank her enough for her generosity.  While we were having fun shopping, Justin and his Dad were taking down a bed and moving it to the attic and moving our other bed out of the nursery.  Looks great and was a big help.
Now we just have to have this yard sale I've been meaning to have for two months to clear out the rest :)
Hoping for Oct. 9th weekend.

Infomercials

I got sucked in! First thing I see when I turn on the TV this morning is the infomercial for
Xpress Redi-Set-Go!
I have seen this before and thought it was cool, but I was not going to get sucked in! Well... when they slashed the price and threw in one for free, I had no choice! I just bought my first Christmas present. Yay for me!
I'll give a review once I make a couple of their recipes!!

I have already gone on etsy and ordered those cute headband bows!!!
Now for the names.... oh my!!  I am so fickle and we are having a hard time agreeing!  Luckily we have a few months to figure it out :)

So excited to finally go shopping this weekend!

Baby A (Girl)
I love how it looks like she is smiling!

Baby B (Boy)
I couldn't get a good picture..either to dark or a flash.
I think he already looks like a boy!

We are so excited for our dr. appt tomorrow!!  We finally get to find out if we are having Boys, Girls, or one of each!  I'm not leaving the office until we know so they better behave and move the way they are supposed to!

Justin is finally home from all his travels! I thought it would be nice for him to come home to a nice home cooked meal :)
We had broccoli casserole, balsamic chicken and brown rice!  It was yummy :)

Wedding

Last night I went to an old co-workers beautiful wedding.  (side note: the wedding was in Salisbury and not until an hour before the wedding did I realize that! I thought it was in Madison!! For those of you who don't know...those locations are in opposite in direction! ha!)
It was very rustic and held at a train depot.  They did an awesome job on decorations and most of it was handmade or came from their yard!!

This was most of our original sales group at Furnitureland South

With the bride!  I had curled my hair, but with no hairspray and rain it goes stick straight!

Centerpiece they made
They were beautiful!

I love weddings!

There is finally a Food in Food, Fun and Fitness!

So... um... yeah... I really haven't cooked much lately, and when I have it has been to simple to be called cooking!  I had planned on making something with chicken last night but we went out instead.  Tonight was the only night until Sunday I had to cook it and I randomly came up with this concoction!

Cut up chicken, one bag of spinach, portabello mushrooms, rotini noodles, light cream cheese and fat free half and half.
I even managed to use every eye on my stove!

It was very yummy!  And since Justin is out of town until Sunday, I have lots of healthy leftovers!

Cheers!

I can do a lot with $115!!

Summer to Fall

Awesome! Is all I can say about our weather the past few days. The sun has been shining bright with warm, but not to hot days, while evening and morning have given us a glimpse of fall!

Today at the pool

As much as I love summer, days at the pool, and suntans - fall can't get here soon enough!  It has been so nice waking up to 58 degrees and sunshine.  Doesn't make your coffee taste that much better?!Walks in the park are a must too :)
I was so lost in thoughts about fall this morning, I totally passed where I was going!  All I could think about was how much I look forward to fall with the bright orange, yellow and red leaves, football games (Go DAWGS!), the smell of apple cider and pumpkin, cuddling up with Justin, and lounging in sweatpants and sweatshirts!

Looking forward to one more day of rest before going back to work!
17 week pregnancy survey later :)

Projects

Last summer we remodeled much of our house.  However - we didn't get to finish bc we were over budget :(
BUT the time has come to finish what we started!
Today's projects included installing two new fans, one in the bedroom and one in the den and blowing installation and boards in the attic so we would have more storage.  The fans look so much better than the 80s style fans that were in when we bought the house!

Tomorrow we are installing new bathroom counter tops.  Can't wait!!

These were not the counter tops I picked out last year, but we got a super, super deal.... like less than $100 for both of them!  I think the ones I looked at last summer would have cost over $1000.  One of Justin's friends hooked us up!!!

I'm thinking this weekend we will put everything back in the attic and think about switching guest rooms to get ready for cribs! oh my!
